Manas at a Glance

Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) was founded in 1995 between governments of Turkey and the Kyrgyz Republic. KTMU has become one of the leading universities in both Kyrgyz Republic and the larger Central Asia region.Students recognized in both Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. KTMU provides an access to higher education opportunities that enable students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their professional goals, improve the productivity of their organizations and provide leadership and services to their communities.

KTMU currently enrolls 4600 students from 16 different countries and 23 different nationalities in  bachelor's, Master's and PhD programs. KTMU has more than 550 well-qualified and experienced academic staff from 7 countries.  Education in KTMU is tuition-free and scholarships for living stipends are available. Turkish and Kyrgyz are official languages of education and training at Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University. However, students also study Russian and English language, and may take courses in Chinese.
 
Undergraduate students may choose from 32 bachelors programs in 9 Faculties: Letters, Science, Fine Arts, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Theology, Communication, Engineering, Veterinary and Agriculture.  There are 12 graduate programs in 2 faculties: The Graduate School of Science and Technology, and The Institute of Social Sciences. Additionally, KTMU offers 4 High Schools: The School of Tourism and Hotel Management, The School of Foreign Languages, a Conservatory and The School of Physical Culture and Sport.  KTMU is also home to 3 Research Centers: The Research Center of Turkic Civilization, The Center of the Study of Central Asia, The Center for the Recruitment and Allocation of Students and The Biotechnology and Biodiversity Research Center.

Outside of class, students enjoy a lively campus life a range of sports teams, students clubs, and campus events including contests, festivals, career days, tournaments and more.

To supplement  students' learning, KTMU provides internship opportunities for students in The Central Bank of Turkey, The Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE), Turkey Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), Turkey Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB), Turkish Ziraat Bank and other institutions in various fields (Tourism, Industry, Trade, Communication, etc.).  Students may also participate in exchange programs through Mevlana, ERASMUS PLUS, Open World, US Central Asian Education Foundation.
